Lori Guadagno
Lori Guadagno is Co-Founder and now the Director of Arts for Art With A Heart For Children. With 19 years of an extensive art background, art
related skills, and experience working with youth. Lori brings a unique professionalism to the program. Her creative integrity and passionate dedication to this program serves the community of patients she encounters with inspired dialogue through the art process. Lori received her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in 1982 from Rutgers University in New Jersey. She began her career in New York City as a production manager
of a company specializing in hand painted clothing accessories and
award winning jewelry. She became a freelance artist in 1987 giving her the opportunity to explore and develop her skill in decorative finishes and
mural painting. Seattle Washington was her home for 14 years with her focus continuing to be in fabric painting, floor cloths, clothing, and wallpaper. Her career in art culminated in a successful one-woman show at the Bell Gallery in downtown Seattle. Upon moving to Vermont in 2000 she continued her working relationship with children by becoming a special educational assistant for teens in a local High School. This rewarding and challenging experience opened the doors to further expand the desire to work with children in a meaningful and sensitive manner. A combination of personal chemistry with these children and artistic knowledge gives Lori the perfect dynamics to direct this unique and very special program.
